The July Course resides
alongside the
National Stud on the
approach to the
town and is home to all Newmarket’s summer
race meetings.
From mid-June to the end of August, the course provides the perfect setting for a fantastic day’s racing thanks to its unique rustic charm. Open air bars, the sun dappling through the trees and the thatched roofed buildings make up the character of this distinctive and much loved course. In 2007 sparkling new facilities were introduced behind the stands following the £10m enlargement and redevelopment of this area.
Newmarket's summer racing highlight is the Ritz Club July Festival which in 2008 is scheduled for Wednesday 9th - Friday 11th July involving three days of world class racing and fabulous fashion in the magical garden party atmosphere of the July Course.
The rest of the spectacular summer season is made up of eight Friday-Saturday fixtures, two in June prior to The Ritz Club July Festival, and a run of six consecutives Friday-Saturday fixtures following The Festival. The first seven of the Fridays are evening meetings and make up the world famous "Newmarket Nights", Britain's most successful concert race nights.

Located alongside
the race track adjacent to the winning
post or by the parade ring, the stylish
marquees
offer a close up view of the horses
and racing action. Each marquee has
its own garden
area
and viewing frontage.
The marquees

entertaining spaces for a wide
range
of party
sizes.
A private marquee can accommodate
a minimum of 20 guests.
The
Summer House is
the stylish new
restaurant within
the main grandstand
at the heart of
the Premier
Enclosure for
parties of between
4 / 6 / 8 / 10 up to a maximum of
12 guests at a single table. It has a
stunning air conditioned
conservatory
extension
and is located
a short
walk from the
viewing stands
and Winner’s
Enclosure.
