Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse 2008
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is a left-handed jumps racecourse set in glorious countryside beside the River Dee and overlooked by the Welsh hills. Easily accessible via the motorway, the racecourse is situated just 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes south of Chester. Bangor-on-Dee has enjoyed jump racing since 1859 with all the greatest jump jockeys riding at the Racecourse.
Bangor-on-Dee has a unique character, exemplified by the fact that this is the only Racecourse in the country that doesn’t have a Grandstand. There are no concerns regarding the viewing of the racing as the facilities provide superb vantage points of the Racecourse and the action.
Over the course of the year, there are 15 fixtures spread throughout the four seasons giving everyone a chance to enjoy the excitement of the horseracing at some point in the year and experience the magical charm of the private hospitality facilities at Bangor on Dee Racecourse.
The Hospitality
Paddock Enclosure Chalets
The Paddock Enclosure is really the atmospheric heart of the Racecourse with CCTV and Tote betting facilities, Pre parade, Parade Ring and elevated viewing of the racetrack, particularly welcome in light of Bangor-on-Dee’s unique position as the only Racecourse in the country not to have a grandstand!
Racegoers in the Chalets dine within the comfort of their own private facility and then watch the racing from their own private vantage point provided by the decking surrounding the chalets.
2 of the 4 Chalets accommodate a minimum of 20 guests and a maximum of 30.
2 of the 4 Chalets accommodate a minimum of 30 guests and a maximum of 50.
The Chalets can also be merged to create a facility for a maximum of 160 guests.
Marquees
The Marquees are also situated in the Paddock, facing the Parade Ring. The Marquees, too, offer a superb view of the racetrack but from the alfresco lawn that surrounds the facilities and also has CCTV and Tote betting facilities. The main difference lies in the capacity, which for the Marquees is from 50 to 500 guests.

Restaurants
Paddock Restaurant
The Paddock Restaurant is a spacious, glass fronted building with a vibrant atmosphere. There is a balcony to view the horses in the Parade Ring. Your table is yours for the day, providing an excellent base for your party.
