Musselburgh

Located only 6 miles to the East of Edinburgh city centre Musselburgh Racecourse is firmly establised as one of the most stylish smaller racecourses in the UK and one of Scotland's most popular hospitality venues.

Musselburgh's hospitality stand, The Queen's Stand, was opened in 1995 by Her Majesty the Queen and enjoyed a £200,000 refurbishment in 2009.

Racing under both Flat and National Hunt rules some of the feature racedays in 2011 include the John Smith's Cheltenham Trials Day in early February with two valuable races on the card for aspiring Cheltenham or Aintree contenders. There are three "Rock and Racing" themed evening meetings, Ladies Day, and the highlight of the flat racing calendar the Edinburgh Cup Raceday on Saturday 4th June, which offers a prize fund of over £200,000 plus all the action from Epsom's Investec Derby meeting screened live on the giant screens.
