Hexham

Hexham Racecourse is set in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland countryside and perched on Yarridge Heights above the historic market town. Horseracing in the area dates back to the early 18th century yet today Hexham Racecourse is Northumberland’s only course and has been the home of National Hunt racing for well over a century.

Taking full advantage of a natural amphitheatre of sloping grass below the stands, Hexham Racecourse offers splendid viewing areas to watch the races and take in the magnificent surrounding countryside.

Hexham Racecourse’s season runs from September to June with several weekend and bank holiday fixtures and popular evening meetings.
